Thinking about your wedding? Maybe it's been in the works for a while now, maybe it's a recent engagement. I guess however it happens or happened the important thing now is that you are getting married. So now what?
Well, I suppose things are about to get busy, so start making plans. First and foremost, I suggest that you begin by doing some listening. Listen to people that you may know that already did the walk. Make some notes & think sincerely about what it is that YOU want. Lots of people will lend thoughts and advice, but it is YOUR day so make it something special.
Dear Brides-to-Be,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your engagement! I know this is a very busy time for you, with lots of decisions about what kind of wedding you and your significant other are hoping for. The one piece of advice that was most commonly given to me was to take time to enjoy all the steps and decisions because it'll all be over before you know it. And that turned out to be so true! So take your time, talk things through with your significant other, family and friends and make sure it'll be a day you'll cherish for the rest of your life.
You'll also start thining about smaller details, such as whether or not to get your make-up done. If you do decide to go that route and want an absolutely wonderful make-up artist I have two words for you - Sandra Maude. She will make your special day even more beautiful!
When I went for my consultation I was a bit nervous. I'm not a big make-up person, and I was afraid I'd be transformed into an unrecognizable version of myself. I didn't want my husband to be to ask 'who's that?' when I came walking down the aisle. I wanted to look like me, just a better version of me. And that is exactly what Sandra achieved. I actually jumped out of my chair and hugged her when I turned to the mirror and saw my face!
On my wedding day, she was such a gem. We were all laughing and talking and having a great time, which was a wonderful way to avoid some of the pre-ceremony gitters. She was like one of the girls hanging out and having a good time.
My favourite memory by far...just minutes before the ceremony was to begin, I was starting to feel really nervous. Sandra noticed this as she was giving me my finishing touches, so she looked me in the eye, smiled, and very gently said "deep breath". I took that deep breath and felt perfectly confident through the ceremony!
I highly recommend Sandra to any bride who's hoping for a beautiful make-up job, and fond memories of her wedding day!
